Founder note

From my desk in Fitzroy.

I started Steel Dungeon Warriors in 2016 after fifteen years of arguing about loot tables in the back rooms of Melbourne game shops. What began as a Friday-night newsletter to twelve mates now reaches readers across Australia, New Zealand and well beyond.

We cover the games we actually finish: sprawling CRPGs, roguelike experiments, tabletop-to-screen adaptations, and the small indie releases the big outlets skip. No sponsored scores, no review-copy pressure, no clickbait — just long, careful writing from people who play to the credits.
